Kelowna Elderly Services
Kelowna Elderly Services is a locally owned and operated
Elder Care Support and Service Company dedicated to providing quality
care to Okanagan Seniors. Owner Editha Allen has many years of
experience in health care, providing support to seniors in their own
home and in residential facilities.
Kelowna Elderly Services Mission Statement :
- To assist seniors in maintaining their independence.
- To enhance quality of life.
- To give a sense of security and dignity.
- To provide companionship and connection to other seniors.
- To facilitate participation in seniors health and recreational programs within the community.
- To assist with seniors daily needs, such as
transportation to appointments, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and
many other activities.
Kelowna Elderly Services is licensed and insured. Every staff member is
insured, certified as a professional Caregiver, is caring,
knowledgeable, and dedicated to the well being of seniors.
To ensure the well being of every client:
- A journal is kept of all activities, care-plans, health issues, needs and requests.
- Family members may communicate at any time, by telephone, email, or fax.
Client and family needs may change over time, Editha and her staff will:
- Listen, assess, and notify appropriate health care professionals and family with any concerns.
Client, Family, Health Care Professionals, and Kelowna Elderly Services
work together as a Team, in an atmosphere of Trust and Respect.
Editha Allen, owner, will be happy to meet with you to discuss your
needs, and will provide you with a support/care plane to suit your
lifestyle.

Editha Allen has been happily assisting seniors for sixteen
years. Editha has many qualifications and personal attributes that make
her an ideal caregiver. Many clients refer to Editha as a "genuinely
caring person," and remark on her ability to bring a sense of fun,
security and independence to their lives. Editha really cares about
seniors, she is always there for them, providing quality care and
support.
Editha Allen's Qualifications:
- Sixteen years in caring for seniors.
- Fully Insured
- First Aid Certificate
- On-going continuing education for herself and her staff
- Volunteer at Kelowna General Hospital
- Knowledge of Senior's Support Services
- Knowledge of Senior's Issues and Challenges

- Cooking:
Editha is an expert chef, and loves to cook for others, give cooking
lessons, and delights in creating memorable dinners for clients,
family, and friends. Editha hosts an annual picnic for all her clients.
- Adventures:
Memorable adventures with clients include a Rafting Trip; scenic drives
throughout the Okanagan, and hiking along our beautiful trails. Editha
recognizes the value of nature, and the joy it can bring. Every one of
Editha's clients benefits from outings and activities geared to their
personal interests and fitness level.
- Companionship:
Spending time with Editha is always Quality Time. Always dependable,
always professional, the relationship of caregiver and client is a
